Our largest raw material is a sustainable one – trees. Our cellulose is an essential part of many products for everyday use that allows for improved quality of life and hygiene. We view sustainability in three dimensions – social, environmental and economic – and strive to find the right balance to help create long-term value for our customers, for society and for our company. We will remain a sustainable company into the future by creating value the way we always have – providing products and services that customers value more highly than available alternatives and using resources efficiently in doing so. We are committed to sustainable fiber sourcing strategies in purchasing fiber from suppliers – a majority of whom are family forest landowners. Georgia-Pacific acknowledges all recognized certification programs. Currently, all wood and fiber delivered to GP Cellulose manufacturing facilities in the United States is processed through our 100% SFI® certified procurement system. We also support Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and other credible forestry standards and have earned the FSC® Chain-of-Custody Certification.

GP Cellulose continuously investigates ways to improve fiber performance by focusing on our customers objectives. One example of this is the development of our CelluFlex™ product line. One of the benefits of CelluFlex fiber is that it can replace other, more costly raw materials for applications in products and markets such as pharmaceuticals, food, industrial thickeners and textiles. Ideas such as this one are what we strive for as we create added value and competitive alternatives for our customers.
GP Cellulose takes our quality commitment to our customers very seriously. We continue to allocate significant investments in updating our facilities and improving our services to our customers in order to be the preferred supplier for cellulose products — the Supplier of Choice. Golden Isles® fluff pulp is known worldwide as a quality brand of fluff pulp used in a variety of absorbent applications such as: baby diapers, feminine hygiene and adult incontinence products, airlaid nonwovens, pet pads and food-grade absorbent pads, to name a few.
